A little about me
I’ve always felt a pull to move with my surroundings. In most of my childhood photos I’m hanging from a door or climbing a tree. Along the way I kept finding myself in disciplines built on interacting with objects, artistic gymnastics, parkour and climbing. That’s where I found my way of working with the environment, building a relationship with it and the eyes that see opportunities for movement.
At some point I lived in nature for a year. That’s where I discovered how much I love moving with the natural environment. A place like that can’t be predicted in advance, and that is exactly what changed my perspective on movement and developed it even further.
Today I move between two worlds: the natural place where our bodies breathed, lived and moved long before the straight, clear lines of the city. What interests me is how we can see those lines anew, and keep the natural playfulness of movement that we have as human beings.
There’s a lot of fear around meeting the environment through movement. It’s hard and unforgiving, so my approach is gradual, accessible and soft, so that everyone can find their own way to move.
